Huvitavaid artikleid: väikeettevõtjale

Mõned artiklid, mis võiksid enne kõike huvi pakkuda just väikeettevõtjatele ning loodetavasti väärivad ka teistega jagamist.

After Succeeding, Young Tycoons Try, Try Again – mitte just kõige õpetlikum ja kasulikum artikkel maailmas, kuid lugemist väärib eelkõige mentaliteedi tõttu, mida mõned edukaimad alustajad endas kannavad:

He thought he would spend the time after the sale “exploring my inner self.” Instead, he spent the better part of 12 months “feeling worthless and stupid” and baffled by what he might do with the remainder of his life. He felt too young to retire or downshift a gear or two — and too restless to become a philanthropist.

“I enjoy sitting on nice beaches and hanging out with my girlfriend and playing with my dog, but that’s three hours a day,” Mr. Levchin said. “What about the remaining 18 hours I’m awake?”

How to Market Your Business With Facebook – kui pealkiri veel artikli sisu ei reetnud, siis olgu lisatud, et tegu on pigem tutvustava artikliga, mis võimaldab ehk natuke mitmekülgsemalt mõelda Facebook’i kaasamisest enda turundustegevusse:

“You can waste a lot of time on Facebook,” said Ms. Shih, founder of Hearsay Labs, a Facebook marketing software company. “But if you’re a business, you don’t have any time to waste. Figure out your objectives first, start small and do things that help you accomplish your objectives.”

Ms. Shih suggests that businesses ask friends and family to become fans of their pages so that they display a respectable crowd of supporters when they debut. Pages can grow organically by word of mouth — the average Facebook user has 130 friends on the site — or by advertising or promotion.

How to set up an e-commerce site using PayPal to process – Ars Technicas mõni aeg tagasi ilmunud postitus PayPal’i rakendamisest enda väikese veebipoe makselahenduste haldamiseks. Kahjuks pole ise Eestis testinud, kuid teoreetiliselt ei tohiks erilisi takistusi olla:

To build an entire system from the ground up might require more time and resources than you currently have, but you can easily fake it by creating a site to hawk your wares and by using PayPal as a payment processing back-end—and your buyers don’t even have to have a PayPal account to buy from you. Here’s a simple tutorial for setting up your own site to sell stuff with the help of PayPal.

Inc. on Home-Based Businesses – Small Business Labs blogi postitus, mis toob ära kolm artiklit ajakirja Inc. kodust tegutsevate ettevõtjate rubriigist:

1. 9 Businesses You Can Start in Your Pajamas profiles 9 different home-based businesses.

2. How to Make a Million in Your Pajamas covers the growing ranks of home-based entrepreneurs and discusses two very interesting home businesses. One is a clothing company that has over 50 part-time and contract employees, the other creates digital maps.

3. Essential Tools for Every Home Office is a slide show of cool tools and equipment that make home offices more productive. I’m definitely looking into Idea Paint (pictured below). It turns walls into white boards.
